What a choice here changes
It is remembered by this browser, for this site. Every NetShow Alive tag on this site that has no
tier written on it will show the face you pick here — on every page — until you forget it.
Other sites never see your choice, and a tag whose author wrote a tier keeps the author’s face.
Only a deliberate pick is remembered. Opening this page, reloading it, or reading the face writes nothing. If this browser refuses to store the choice — a private window, a sandboxed frame, a full quota — the page says so, the face changes for this page only, and the next page will not remember.
A portrait is art, and only art. The face you see is the standard host at the rung you picked — the same owner, the same remembered choice, the same permissions either way. Changing the face grants nothing, moves no memory, and changes no payer. If the portrait art for a rung cannot be loaded, this page shows a plain stand-in and says so rather than showing a broken image; the host behind it has not changed. This example is a still face: it makes no claim about voice or conversation carrying over.
Choosing 3d unlocks nothing. A remembered 3d asks for the 3D face exactly the way a written
tier="3d" would, and without the 3D body it is refused. The refusal is printed above rather
than hidden; the choice itself is still remembered, so forget it if you want the default face back.
